JOINING US

OCTO is always looking for operatives to join our ranks. There are two ways to become a member- by trial through events or by nomination from a charter member.

OCTO Membership has no financial commitment.

THE PROVEN

Candidates can earn a membership by participating in our featured events or partner events.

THE CHOSEN

Charter members submit a candidate for review. If all 3 directors approve the candidate at the next council meeting, they become a probationary member.

OCTO WORLDWIDE does not have annual dues, registration costs, or for that matter, any financial cost for members. Members are expected to contribute annually to our shared resources and network through acts of service and fellowship. Some examples are:

  • Hosting Networking Opportunities

  • Creating Special Events

  • Job listings

  • Cocktail Recipes and Workshopping

  • Mentorship Opportunities

  • Resume Assistance

  • Peer Recognition Panels

  • Whistleblowing

  • Consulting

earning your number

OCTO Members are issued an Operative Number after attending 8 different events and collecting 8 “proofs“ of participation. Once the prospective member has all 8 proofs, they are to contact membership@octoworldwide.com for confirmation and further instructions. Operative Numbers are always issued in-person.

There are 4 different official proof types issued directly from OCTO:

  • OCTO “Office of Consumption” Pin (minimum of 2 required)

  • OCTO “Office of Toxicity” Pin (minimum of 2 required)

  • OCTO “Office of Obliteration” Pin (minimum of 2 required)

  • OCTO “Secret Handshake“ Logo Pin (no minimum required)

Other proofs for qualifying events are designated in the event information where applicable..
